"This hotel is quaint and lovely right by the Central Park in alajuela. There are several restaurants but not a ton. To see and do in the are. The staff were amazing and breakfast was very good. We had a superior room so our own bathroom and a/c. "

"I left 5 minutes after I got there and went to another hotel. The bathroom was not cleaned and I saw mice. The place is run Down and dirty. The owner was nice however did not give me my money back. At the next hotel , Hotel Riviera,I paid $10 more and it was amazing."

"The owner, Gaucho (I believe) was helpful and friendly. He offered me some of his homemade dinner and set me up with a taxi early in the morning to catch my flight the next day. The location is in a quiet safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from downtown Alajuela. The house is modern and has his modern Art throughout the home. The upstairs rooftop balcony is a treat and offers great views. Very hospitable experience which I enjoyed and would love coming back again."

"Felt like entering jail as seen from street, with high gated fence, electrified barbed wires, several video cameras. room was clean with many beds for all of us. Good for the price."
