The staff is polite and attentive, the rooms are incredibly designed to provide a cultural feel with eco sensitivities, and the best part is that the property has about 2-3 hours of hiking available on the grounds Will come back next time I'm flying through SJO"

"Amazing view of San Jose, including sparkling lights at night. It is high above the city which drowns out the city noise, yet just a few minutes from the airport. The surrounding trees and flowers make it so pleasant!"

"I left 5 minutes after I got there and went to another hotel. The bathroom was not cleaned and I saw mice. The place is run Down and dirty. The owner was nice however did not give me my money back. At the next hotel , Hotel Riviera,I paid $10 more and it was amazing."

"The owner, Gaucho (I believe) was helpful and friendly. He offered me some of his homemade dinner and set me up with a taxi early in the morning to catch my flight the next day. The location is in a quiet safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from downtown Alajuela. The house is modern and has his modern Art throughout the home. The upstairs rooftop balcony is a treat and offers great views. Very hospitable experience which I enjoyed and would love coming back again."
