"Friendly staff in a city centre hotel. It was clean, good breakfast. I was happy with the room. The car park was right behind the hotel and took me a while to find it amongst other private car parks. The wifi was a touch tempermental at times. "

"The stay was fine for the one night stopover we needed. Comfortable bed and clean room. Unfortunately they don’t offer food in the evenings but not sure if that’s the case all the time. "

"We recently stayed at the North Lakes Hotel & Spa as a stopover on our journey from Scotland to England, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the family room was perfect for us. The children were thrilled to find named biscuits and their own welcome packs waiting on arrival – such a thoughtful touch! One of my personal highlights was the fresh milk machine just outside our room, which made bedtime bottles for the kids super easy. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and catered really well to our family’s needs. While the hotel was incredibly child-friendly overall, we did find the restaurant a bit tricky – it was lovely but hard to get a reservation, and it didn’t feel quite as geared towards families as the rest of the hotel. That said, we would absolutely return and highly recommend it for anyone travelling with children – it made our long journey so much more enjoyable and comfortable."
