"We had the best time staying in Emporio Ixtapa. The staff were very kind, helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was fun with live music in the lobby pretty much every night. I would recommend staying on the upper levels if you don't want to hear it super loud. We had an ocean view room which offered an incredible experience of getting the light as the sun rose. "Staff — excellent. Food — very good. Location — amazing. But two minor quibbles. 1. Bar closes at 6 — right when I start thinking about a cocktail. There is a space above the reception that is set up like a bar but was never open the two times we stayed there. 2. Rooms are luxurious but there is no glass in the windows/doors so when it is hot (most of the time in Zihuatanejo) you have all the shutters closed for A/C so no view at all. "The property was absolutely perfect in accommodating the three couples that formed our gathering … the piscina and beach were exactly what was needed to unwind …the stag at Tesoro, although not affiliated with VRBO , were very helpful and friendly … one of the highlights was Axel coordinating a cook to prepare us two traditional Mexican dinners ( one each week of our stay) in the well equipped kitchen in the unit. All in all, the best vacation our group has had in Ixtapa in years"
