"The location was good. Walkable to Nieves where there’s a selection of shops ( need to buy water) or ferries to Tenerife. Parking on the roads nearby, no difficulties with that. Nice pool and adequate gym. Spa nice and recommend. The sofas and carpets need replacing, they look old and not very clean now. Otherwise rooms clean and bed comfortable. Good shower. The first evening meal was a scramble, too many guests per staff member. I couldn’t get a glass of wine, they were too busy:-( . Food...

"a little noise for traffic but the appartment was like description."

"It's a fabulous building, shades of an old steam ship of faded grandeur, but all the more beautiful because of it, our room was very spacious. The spa pool was great. The breakfast very canarian, but lots of it. Then staff were happy, considerate and helpful. The town is VERY quiet, but it is mid December when I am writing this. "

"Disappointing ! Opted for half board as it is remote. Breakfast was very good but dinner very poor. No effort made to offer good experience.cheap cutlery cheap paper napkins and plastic tablecloth.very little out of date information on walks and area. Electrics very dodgy eg wall lights hanging off the wall. Lamps with no bulbs etc. Staff were very friendly and it was a beautiful building in a beautiful valley, full of potential but there seems to be very varied poor management. "

Very enjoyable stay

"I'd read on trip advisor that there was terrible food poisoning etc! Rubbish, they might have had a norovirus bug in the hotel but staff made every effort with sanitisers at meal times to eliminate this, although we never spoke to anyone who was affected. Food was lovely & varied, no complaints. I was here for my friends 60th, as I found it, all the staff I came across were amazing. Salvador in the main restaurant who works mornings & evenings was brilliant when we wanted to organise a cake we had to bring our own as hotel need 48hrs (for info), to supply one. He kept it cool for us & made sure staff brought it out at correct time. All rooms sea view & west facing so you get the sunset. My only downside is the entertainment at night, its very basic/boring, thats my only complaint, Riu liven the entertainment up! We may be middle aged but people love 'Good Music'."
