"Although only 10 minutes from Stonehaven it was ideally situated in the beautiful Kincardine countryside. Room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was whatever you wanted and the bonus for us was that the plum tree in the garden was groaning with fruit. Owner picked some delicious plums for us. "The stay at Aden house was fantastic! The owner Martin was very friendly and helpful, giving us advice about the area and sights to see as well as places to eat. The en-suite appears to be a converted closet and while not the roomiest of commodes, grants excellent privacy and sufficient facilities. The area is lovely and the breakfast we were served included the Best full Scottish breakfast we had in the two weeks we've visited Scotland. Amazingly friendly and personable hosts! Highly recommend!"

"Love Aviemore so booked the Spey valley lodges. The lodges are starting to look quite run down, especially the outside with peeling paint. The inside is a little dated but was clean enough. One of the single beds had no bottom sheet on it and a dead spider lying between blanket.Obviously this bed was not made up fresh.
