"The small hotel is in Marampata, Peru, close to Choquequirao. Everything that gets to Marampata comes on a human's or mule's back on a brutally long day of hiking. The fact that the hotel exists there is amazing in itself. No idea how the mattresses got there. My son and I stayed 2 nights on a recent hiking trip to Choque. "It was a great stop over. The town is super cool. A lot of things going on. I wouldn’t stay for more than a day as nothing is really there. The town is interesting in the fact that it is like a big market and auto parts town. The hotel is nice and clean. The owner is super nice and helpful. She found me a parking spot even though one wasn’t I closed. Breakfast is normal. Room was decent. The only issue was that the towel rack was broken. Otherwise my stay was good. "Cheap, on the way, close to the few restaurants in town. Staff is kind and helpful. Area is noisy because of stray dogs and bad insulation. Light slippers avoid."
