"We stayed for only one night and this place was perfect as a stopover before taking the fast boat to Lombok. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the property was clean and tidy. As a bonus we had a meal the evening before we arrived and I had a “ monster burger” which you could tell was cooked with care and delicious. All that and breakfast thrown in ! Difficult to beat for the price and highly recommended."

"Location was awesome and grounds were beautiful. It was less than 5 minutes from the dive shop we used, easy to walk to (even with our luggage that we brought with us from th dive shop). But plumbing was broken in our room, and though facilities tried to fix it, they were unsuccessful and had to move us to another room. "We actually booked our stay for just one day but we had to extend our stay for one more. We had a very terrible experience as we lost our whole cash that we carried for the entire trip from the hotel. Because the bag in which the money was kept was not taken to any place with us and it was in the hotel itself. "This place is an absolute gem hidden in the forest. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating, the room is stunning, and the pool and gardens offer amazing relaxation at the end of a long day. I would absolutely stay here again, especially to eat the delicious banana pancakes. "

"Loved the outdoor bathroom. The rooms are very comfortable. I like that there are only ~10 villas on site. Lovely breakfast served on the balcony each morning. Friendly staff. The only problem was that there was a lot of plastic and rubbish burn-off every day happening next door. This is not the hotels fault. However, every time we went outside to our bathroom, the smell was really bad and felt very unhealthy breathing it in. "

"This property has great potential. Location is gorgeous, rooms are spacious and the property is expansive. However, a few things were a complete let down. Despite being the only guests on the property, our room was still not ready by the time we showed up at 3 PM and the shower handle broke. "The front desk (Ketut) was very nice, helpful and did resolve any issues I had. The hot water wasn't working and he fixed it immediately. The room is basic like don't expect any amenities besides soap, towels and fridge. They organize bike rentals and they have drinks you can buy at reception. The worker there is really kind and always there. "

"One of the best hidden gem in Kintamani area. This place has best view of mountain and lake. All staff is very friendly & helpful. The access to property is a bit confusing, you should ask around in case if you got lost. But it’s super worth it. I want to come back again for sure!"

"Awesome place with impeccable service. The enormous rooms with 3M high windows were very impressive, as were the expansive grounds which were impeccably kept. The staff’s attention to detail and enthusiasm to do everything for their guests, was a standout. The only negative is that they had very little wine to offer, however it was easy to wander to the supermarket nearby. We spent a very relaxing three days here, mostly lazing in the pool and watching the sunsets. If you are after a quieter and more relaxed environment away from the pubs and mayhem of Kuta, this is it. Best place that we stayed at in Bali. 11/10."

"This was our first stay in Bali. We had one of the garden rooms. It was beautiful and clean!!! The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable! Some of the best massages as well!! The buffet breakfast was incredible! My friend who is gluten and dairy free had no problem finding a good choice that fit her diet! "

"We had a lovely stay, it was relaxing and the two queries we had were dealt with so quickly and quietly. The staff were lovely and the grounds are so nice and so pretty of an evening. We also used the on-site transport to a village and then again in leaving, such a better option than a grab. So looking forward to seeing the beach restoration project in the future."

"Great stay at the Oculus hotel. Food and facilities are amazing with excellent service. The hotel is located on a steep incline with lots of steps and hillu walks into Kintamanti so not recommended for someone with limited accessibility or pushchairs. We booked this hotel to do the Jeep Adventure to Mount Batur and it's a perfect location to relax and unwind away from the south madness. "
