"Spend 5 nights together with my partner over New Years at Altar Suites. We had the room with Acropolis view. The room was spacious, modern and clean. And the best part was of course the balcony with the lovely view. Location was perfect with walking distance to all main attractions. The staff was very sweet and helpful through our stay, and if we go back to Athens we would not hesitate to come back to Altar Suites. "

The trim was falling from the ceiling, bathroom faucet was loose and leaking, the main front door of the property door latch was broken so could easily be busted open. I read previous reviews prior to booking and they were all great. I ended up booking a separate hotel after the first night. I don’t typically leave reviews but I hope a future travelers experience is better than mine."

"The suite I was in looked exactly the same as the photos - very clean, comfortable and spacious with good air conditioning. No conditioner which can be bought easily in the famous flea market. The unit is located in a quiet neighborhood (although it could be quite noisy from cars at night). The kitchen has only a microwave, fridge, kettle, and coffee makers, but no stove. It's a little far from most attractions on foot but a green line subway is only 2-3 minutes walk away where you can easily...

"Wonderful, clean and newly refurbished hotel. Lovely and helpful staff. Great location right on the edge of the tourist area with lots of restaurant options and 2 mins’ walk to the metro. Highly recommended! Only small negative is that the breakfast is at the restaurant next door and is the same every day with only the option of eggs or pancakes, but for a stay of a few days it’s not a huge problem and the restaurant staff are lovely. "The ancient agora is right out door. Having a great view of Acropolis at roof terrace. A bit walking to metro, but bus station is closer. Overall a good place to stay."

"My fault for not doing a google maps street view image of the area. Full of grafitti and super noisy at night. (Down the street it got nicer). As for the apartment…I could not fathom leaving only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel. No towels or paper towels for the kitchen, no extra set of sheets (but an extra pillow)? The description on hotels.com said there’s was toiletries. Well there wasn’t. Just a random body wash. There was no hand soap or shampoo or conditioner. Had to wash my hands with body...
