"The hotel is a bit tired compared to the old days but still a better hotel for Manchester. It lacks a notable level of 5* service, all being very reception driven. The price certainly doesn’t reflect the hotel, it’s living on it reputation. "Stayed in Kendal suite and at first appearance it’s a lovely suite but as the night went on a few cracks seems to appear- the pipe work in the building is old so when you’re trying to sleep you constantly hear the noise of the pipes draining or whatever - it’s very off putting to try and sleep too, the window did not latch and poor quality so when sleeping if keeping window open it can only be open half way and then it makes the blinds rattle against the wall!
