"Ok, when we first arrived we were a little worried. The hotel is old and the room was a little tight with 4 sleeping mats on the floor BUT by the end of our 3 night stay we really enjoyed our stay. The onsen is lovely and that really made the stay, along with the staff who were eager to help with anything. Breakfast was included with lots of options and was quite good. "Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and even helped drive us to the train station and stopped at the beautiful snowy sights around Biei along the way. This is a beautiful location, close to AKJ airport (by car, or by bus with a bit of walking). We decided to stay here because we wanted an easy location to stay the night after arriving in Hokkaido, before heading to the mountains. It was cozy, quiet, and clean, and we would stay here again happily."

"Comfortable stay. The place is clean and easy to find. Note that the shower room is located nearby the common area. The room has its own toilet and washing sink. "

"The Onsen is nice, staffs are nice, though the hostel is old and some facilities are not clean. Inserts are everywhere. The curry rice dinner tastes unexpectedly well. Bus to Blue Pond depends on the limited schedule. "

"The hotel is above a little restaurant. Meals are not included, but they are very good traditional Japanese food. The place is literally right behind the Biei train station, which is an ideal location for pretty much everything. The owners didn't speak too much English, but I was able to make due with my limited Japanese. The AC in the room was weak, but being Hokkaido all I had to do was open the window with the screen and my room was perfect."
