The hotel is spotless and the food excellent , breakfast and evening meal My only comments would be it isn’t quite a 5 star hotel.The indoor heated pool is within the Spa so entrance fee applies. The sun beds do not have cushions just towels and we didn’t have help with luggage out / into taxi as no one about , but a friendly member of staff did bring it to room . Overall a very enjoyable stay and we look forward to returning "

"The Roots Hotel was very convenient and comfortable, with a great location. We needed a parking spot, which they provided in an underground garage for a cost of 7 euros per day. We also needed to be near the train station, which was a very short walk from the hotel. And we wanted to be near Faro Airport, which was a short taxi ride away. In addition, there were tons of restaurants within a few blocks from the hotel. So the location was ideal for our stay and the front desk was very friendly....

"Outstanding property, great location with 180 degree sea views. Comfortable good size rooms, high quality linens. Modern, very clean, good facilities (pools fitness room etc). Food is excellent (quality, choice and plentiful) both for breakfast and dinner. Best staff we have ever encountered - from the cleaners to servers, to front desk and entertainment staff, they all went out of their way to communicate, be helpful and make sure they could do everything to make your stay the best...

"Nice holiday for families, but a couple can also enjoy it. Food was decent. Buffet was ok and varied options, but the restaurants were definitely better. One of the restaurants wasn't open during our trip which was disappointing. There were some even shows but unfortunately didn't catch any. Like the free drinks and lots of areas to get them throughout the property."

"We booked this on a bit of a last minute family trip and it turned out to be a delight. The breakfast and dinner are fantastic, all the staff are very friendly and lots of them made a fuss of our children and kept them smiling. Drinks are reasonably priced, our family room was spacious. We had a partial sea view that we were happy with. Room service did a great job tidying up each day. There’s no bad things I have to say about the place, just wish the weather was better but you can’t have it...
