"This was an overnight stay while working locally and this place was chosen for its location and the fact that it’s a pub as well. The room was nice but could do with some TLC but I was very comfortable. The bar area was a little cold but I soon warmed up with the lovely food that was on offer and the staff were really friendly and helpful which is why I would recommend this place to others thinking of staying here."

Joss had a card sent to our room for jons birthday Which was a lovely touch. The area is stunning and so quiet. "Staff were a delight the entire stay. Room (1) was beautiful and clean, with windows on 3 sides (excellent for a breeze), lovely roll top bed, comfy mattress and very nice modern bathroom. Bathrobes were a nice touch. Ate at the hotel Saturday night and it was superb. Scotch egg was delicious, pork fabulous and the pizza was gorgeous. "Amazing accommodation ideal for a couple , very comfortable, lovely quiet location but not far to drive to Sherborne. All kitchen essentials provided . Lovely comfy bed. Bathroom/shower perfect. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others."
