"Well located for my needs. Staff were extremely friendly, good amenities. Good food choice and food was really good. Had breakfast and evening meals Had a premium room, was very cosy and tidy and comfortable. Will definitely use again"

"It was amazingly spacious including the roomy bathroom. There was a fridge, lovely teas, and a safe, which were much appreciated. It was centrally located and very close to Durham University, making our visit with our daughter very convenient."

"After a late arrival we were informed that the pool, sauna, steam room and gym were all still open which was a nice welcome after a long drive. We followed this by a drink in the bar area, service was noticeably stretched this particular evening due to a wedding party (possibly two), and an 80th birthday celebration meaning tables were not getting cleared and bar service was slow. However, the hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and rooms very nice, although the shower in our room, 411, requires attention. Overall, we’re very much enjoyed our stay and would come again. "

"A traditional coaching inn that has been well cared for. The en suite was fairly new and the bedroom small but adequate; both were clean and nicely presented. Dinner food/service both very good. Breakfast adequate. All in all we were both very pleased with our decision to stay here. "
