My reservation had not been properly added to the system and so she was unable to check me in. "Better than expected, the room was well appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable, with 3 choices of pillows. Unfortunately the mini fridge didn't work in my room, but that wasn't a major issue. I ate dinner in the Grand Pacific restaurant, the food was good but it's quite a loud environment on a Saturday evening. The staff were also (literally) running around the place at times which didn't give me the impression that things are well organised, or that there are enough staff to handle...

"On arrival, Reception staff very welcoming & helpful. Room was lovely, clean & definitely spacious enough for the the 3 of us. Modern, clean, bright bathroom. Lovely staff at breakfast next morning, very helpful & attentive, with a very satisfying breakfast. Unfortunately, we only had a 1 night stay booked, as we were attending an awards evening, but the whole ambience & setting was fabulous & quirky. We are now planning a return journey where we can make the most of the setting & enjoy the spa...
