"The Old Lodge is a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms but the main standout thing for us was the service - because we were going to a wedding we had to deal with very weird checkin times. Gracie explained everything to us and did everything she could to give us a perfect experience. Gracie's service made what would have been a very stressful travel situation into something pleasant and comfortable and we had a great time staying at the Old Lodge!"

"After driving for 4 hours we arrived here . We went into the pub to check in and was told to go over to reception desk.We stood there for about 10 mins with staff just walking by us. In the end I asked a member of staff if somebody was on the desk , he was very rude and said “can’t you see we are busy.” We wouldn’t have minded if someone had just said we would be dealt with soon but staff were just walking by us . "The grounds and garden views were beautiful. It was very quiet and tranquil. Buildings exterior was beautiful. The inside lobby, bar, lounge were lovely decorated and accessories to tie in very grand. The beds were comfortable. But on a down side the bedrooms however i felt didnt match up with the rest i personally thought they needed some refreshing up....thats when you could eventually get into the room we had issues with this which when we mentioned it to reception its a known fact people...

Easy to check in, and I set off early the following morning - leaving the keys in the box in the hallway. Very convenient for the town centre and seafront if you don't mind a few minutes walk.
