"Step inside Augill Castle and just let yourself enter an almost Alice in Wonderland world. Feel like a Tudor king having a toilet break on an old fashioned wooden loo. Spot the old fashioned record player in the bathroom. Have breakfast with perfectly mismatched crockery. Be encouraged to explore on your own rather than have a formal tour. Needs to update to a decent coffee machine if the sign outside says ‘coffee house’. Only filter served and not very nice. Some really lovely, friendly staff. Would definitely come back. 9/10"

The attention to detail was amazing from slippers and dressing gowns in the wardrobe to the cool down mat for straighteners (great for the ladies). Had the best nights sleep as the bed was so comfy. "Wow. This property is amazing! We needed somewhere to stop for one night en route to Scotland and we found a gem. The apartment is so spacious and well presented. It’s set in lovely grounds too. Also the communication at the time of booking and in the run up to our stay was excellent. Cannot rate this place highly enough. "
