"Really nice hotel, high quality restaurant. Staff were friendly. Service was attentive. Atmosphere was nice, but maybe a little bit stuffy. My room was very small - this didn't matter because I was traveling alone, but if I come back with my partner I'll pay for a higher level room to get more space. "

I was informed by the director that the lumps were special for comfort and that all beds have this special mattresses. I was told to turn off the air conditioning when not in the room. This is unexpected in a highly-rated four star hotel. The staff seems to believe that guests are fortunate to stay."

The dining option was alright and convenient if one does not want to leave the hotel but for the price paid, the food was nothing outstanding and the service was slow. "This is not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. They have no coffee in the room, no laundry service. We had to check in through the restaurant since there is never anyone at the reception. At check out, we had to leave early (6am) and there was no one there again, he asked us to wait till 8 am even when we told him we had a flight. We were never even informed that reception is not available 24x7 which is the norm at 4 star hotels. Not a pleasant stay."

"place in middle of Loire valley; rural area with bugs and greenheads but incredible views, history, architecture, chateaus and so on; all hotel stuff was extremely friendly and nice; very good breakfast; well renovated; we enjoyed every minute there, pool, hamam; didn't have time for spa though... we will come back for sure"

"Frédéric and Virginie were perfect hosts in their beautifully renovated and decorated castle. We could experience Sologne and the Loire Valley Castles in the best way, thanks to their advice and the perfect location close to many points of interest. The hardest was to decide between taking advantage of the resort's many amenities and visiting the surrounding area. We'll be happy to visit again soon. Vincent and Karine"
