"Welcome to Les Tours de Fawlty. The chalets are not uncomfortable but basic and thin-walled. Beds are decent, pillows brick-like. The tour de force, however, happens in the restaurant. Having read decent reviews, we were rather looking forward to some simple but good French food. Worth mentioning at this stage that I lived in France for 14 years and speak French. To start, we were rather taken aback by the prices, which are high, particularly by Vierzon standards (we stayed in a competitor...

Seul bémol, l'éloignement trop important de la zone 0 où était situer le cottage. plus de 35mn pour se rendre à pied à la zone nautique, qui reste le point central des attractions. Il serait pertinent d'instaurer des navettes, surtout quand la météo est mauvaise."

"In general the hotel room was very basic and in need redecoration.The price of the stay was not consistent with overall experience , and compared to other hotels that we stayed in on this trip Auberge Centre did not provide good value."

"We stayed 4 nights. Nice location with green fields and river at the back, attached to an old mill. Very typical 70s French hotel main building. Easy walk to Chateau and village both of which are lovely. Negatives, carpet stained in main areas in places and euro 9 per person for continental breakfast a bit steep, not included in the rate. Would definately go back clean and friendly. Gardens with nature trail for kids."
