"It was a lovley old building and the floors & ceiling reflected the age of the place. The room was huge it had an open fire but we didnt use it had a stand alone bath but we never used. The shower was an electric standard model a bit of a dissappointment but it done the job. Overall a nice place. "

Above the south bank of the Tees Racing section The footpath from Eggleston bridge to Romaldkirk climbs above the steep and wooded south bank of the Tees, with no view of the river, which is quite isolated at this point (avoiding conflict between canoeists and anglers). The wall, in an area dominated by sandstone dry walls, is, rather incongruously, built of breeze blocks.
