"We asked for a room change which was honored immediately. Our original room was located next to the elevator shaft. Every time the elevator was used, it made a loud swooshing noise. It too an hour and a half to get served our dinner at the hotel restaurant; we were comped our dinner because of this. So this was an interesting weekend. It might have involved the Coast Guard, a helicopter, and needing to be rescued, but that was the day before this was taken. To try to salvage what was left of this trip, I had heard of a cypress swamp near Savannah. We ended up kayaking around this beautiful swamp and looking up at these mammoth trees with their roots totally exposed. The entire trip is about 8 miles, but where this was taken is a nice small paddle if you are interested.
