"This was our first time staying at an "off-grid" hotel, and it was very pleasant. It i a difficult place to get to, requires a cr and a boat ride from the airport, which was included in the price of the stay. Bring lots of mosquito repellent. All meals are included and are really delicious, and there is unlimited coffee and tea and a lovely outdoor lounge with hammocks and internet above the lobby. "We arrived to La Habana Amazon Reserve (hotel) in Puerto Maldonado, Peru, only to be told that they no longer work with Hotels.com Our reservation was ignored and we had to go look for another hotel in a place that is completely new today us. Hotels.con has not refunded my credit card yet. Based on this experience, I don’t expect to use or recommend Hotels.com ever again unless you can promptly remedy this very concerning experience with your service. "

Puerto Maldonado is the up and coming tourism spot with Inkaterra running several lodges situated on the banks of the Madre de Dios river. This was a fantastic experience to learn about the company's preservation efforts, plants, animals, and participate in a well- organized day and night tours through the jungle.
