"This was the second time we've stayed at this hotel. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean, and it's always good to have a walk in shower. Location is perfect, right in the centre of Darlo with plenty of choice for bars and restaurants."

"Stayed here for one night on business. Great rate for the night. Check in great. Room fantastic with a bit of wow factor upon entering. Very clean, comfy bed. Swimming pool fantastic. Fusion restaraunt food lovely but service not great. I was approached almost as soon as i sat down for food ordering but i hadnt seen the menu yet so i asked for 2 minutes. 15 minutes later a server came and apologised for the wait. Which at least she acknowledged i was waiting. Food came, lovely and tasty, but noone checked on me to see if everything was okay with my meal. Then when i finished my meal i waited for what felt like forever for someone to clear my plates. When someone finally came over i just asked for the bill and didnt even wait for my plates to be cleared. Just a bit of advice, when there is a solo female traveller eating on her own, she may not feel comfortable waiting around for so long. This doesnt bother me but i do know colleagues and friends who sometimes may feel vulnerable because travelling on business and just wants to eat and leave. This was not possible for me and i was left for around 45 minutes longer than needed. I did try to catch the servers eyes but they genuinely did not look in my direction at all. So felt a little overlooked. Bit of a shame."

"First off the owners when contacted were lovely. The place itself could be beautiful but does look slightly run down. The room the granary was gorgeous inside with no issues. The outside "private" hot tub area looked a little worse for wear. Fence leaning over, looked like it needed a lot of TLC and is not private at all. Not inclosed, could see people walking past where it looks like a gate was needed and there was metal stairs going upstairs which we wernt sure where they went. The hot tub jets were also not powerful at all but was hot for arrival. Overall a nice stay but dont think we would return"
