"We were very surprised at the overall excellent level of our stay. We were greeted warmly by the owner who was very friendly and informative. Our room was spacious, shower and bathroom enormous and all was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and a choice of sizes of pillows. Bright and light room with lovely view. "Great location, generally clean and very well equipped. Plenty of hot water and great underfloor heating downstairs. Very intermittent Wi-Fi, issue with dead flies everywhere. One set of bunk beds is sized for small children only not mentioned on listing. Hot tub demands 24/7 supervision to keep wood burner alight and water hot. However stunning local walks, beaches and scenery. A great retreat location for R&R. "

"Great location. 3 mins from a great beach and near 2 places within walking distance to eat in the evening. A great room with everything you need for a few days away. Staff at the hotel were really accomodating washed and dried our towels and tshirts as we had been on the beach. "My wife and I stayed for 4 nights for a mini-break to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Mike and Tracey helped us to enjoy our time by suggesting places to visit and good places to dine. They also presented us with a nice box of chocs and a card which was a lovely surprise. "

"Lovely setting, well established country hotel. Not many staff so very little interaction. A bit of an odd set up with breakfast at extra cost but you have to book it the night before - either hot or continental. The receptionist forgot to tell me this so it was a bit awkward when we came down to an empty dining room, not knowing what was available to us. That was too much of a faf for us so it was easier to go elsewhere fore breakfast, easier and cheaper."
