"Advertised as city view but only view of half due to the massive building across, I guess can’t be helped. Breakfast loads of options but the hot food was lukewarm and went cold fast after plated, Still tasty though. Quick service to get checked in and out, easy to get to the city centre and the car park but we did come on a Sunday which is a quieter time. Special requests was done for us when requested! Expected a bath with shower but only got a shower, but you could probably request this...

"Very good hotel with excellent and helpful staff. The room was actually very nice, It was in excellent condition and had everything you would need. But was completely let down by probably the worst beds we have ever attempted to sleep on. They were so hard that we struggled to sleep. We would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor and, so as you can imagine this really spoilt the whole experience. As for breakfast it was good but would have been better to have had a choice of eggs...

"Property is very grand and well maintained. There is some work going on in the grounds at the moment but that doesn't detract from the way it looks or is presented. Rooms in the paddock annex are nice but wifi was lacking which wasn't ideal as we were there for work purposes. Only other downside, is that the food choices are either high end or the bar menu which itself is limited. There needs to be more a mid-range restaurant option in my opinion. "Lovely grounds. Could do with a map of the grounds. Also a loo brush, glasses and decent sized uncracked cups. Dry comfortable. "

I had one of the new ground floor rooms, but it had no desk (only a small round table which was no good for working on) and practically zero draw space. Also, housekeeping was poor (I came back to find my curtains still closed, lamp still on, wet towel still on vanity sink unit, and only one of the two mugs washed up, with the other...
