"I'm not sure why this hotel is rated so highly. I would call it just so-so. The rooms are in bad need of updating, and it took forever for the heater to warm the room. Perhaps it's the best thing in San Fernando? I was hoping that since the property had a conference center the staff would speak English, however that was not the case. "This is a beautiful hotel! It’s an oasis in downtown Santa Cruz. We loved the pool, the delicious breakfast and the kindness of all the hotel employees. It’s perfectly located for amazing visits to vineyards. Lovely!!! "

"The property is a bit tired. The staff was very accommodating. I was a bit mislead by the number of facilities on the website. For instance there is only on restaurant not several. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was minimal and the swimming pool was huge but dirty. Also not many chairs by the pool and it is not on the property but adjacent to it (300 yards). That being said, the staff made up for all the shortcomings of the property. "

"My husband and I were passing through this town on our way South & found this place to stay. We were so pleasantly surprised how lovely it was. Everything was perfectly clean and the bed was very comfortable. We also liked that our car could be parked right outside and gated = extra secure. We do not speak much Spanish but the hosts were very sweet and tried their best to communicate/understand us!
