"Crickhowell is stunningly beautiful. We stayed here due to its proximity to Hay-on-Wye, but will be back purely for Crickhowell. The Dragon was wonderful, especially the comfy beds and breakfast. Only reason for 4* not 5, is due to the thin walls and an inconsiderate guest who was f-ing and blinding loudly at 11pm on Saturday. Obvi "

"The food was excellent - there were some interesting and unusual options and our choices were beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Lots of hot water. The rooms are all different, ours was very comfortable."

"Lovely building, delicious food at dinner, slow / slightly disorganised service from the restaurant team. Had to ask a couple of times for the wine list, the wine wasn’t overly cold, etc. Breakfast was average, food wasn’t great and the service a bit hap hazard. The room was spacious, a little tired and worn but comfortable. "

"This is a beautiful inn inside and out with great inside and outside dining facilities as well. If you only think to visit Hay-On-Wye dyring the book festival you are missing out on all the other wonderful attributes of the region. The walking is fabulous, ancient wooded footpath along the River, Mouse Castle Woods, Hay Castle, the outdoor market huge ancient Yew trees at Cusop's St. Mary's church.
