"Tembo House was one of the most beautiful and unique hotels my wife and I have ever stayed it. It is walking distance to the heart of Stone Town and the Freddie Mercury museum, also has stunning views of the water and all the boats. Comfortable, clean, vibrant, and gorgeous! The staff was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. They were nice enough to hold onto our bags in a secure room while we went on safari for a few days as well. "The location is absolutely perfect for anyone who wants to walk around Stonetown. Several wonderful cafés and restaurants are nearby and pretty much everything is walking distance. The Beyt is an older simpler hotel much like Tembo House hotel. But everything is clean and good condition. Breakfast is simple but more than enough. The staff are friendly and sweet — a big thanks to Diana for making my check in and check out fast and easy! "

"Wonderful staff that were helpful and accommodating in many ways. I needed to store my luggage for a few extra days and they graciously agreed and it was kept safe. No elevator, but the porters were so helpful during check-in/out that it wasn’t a problem. The breakfast area, pool and beach were beautiful and overall this was a very convenient location. Room was huge and clean with adjustable air conditioning. I would definitely recommend and stay there again! "
