"Property was well maintained.We came in June during slow season it was very quiet and relaxing.We had the 3b 2b villa.Management is awesome and helped with any issues we had for example hot water.There was a switch that we had to flip in order to turn the hot water on.Besides that we definitely would recommend staying at Mooshine. Torti the security guard is phenomenal.Regardless the time of day he will assist you. "

"We loved having a 3 bedroom suite with a living area and private baths for all. So nice to be all together yet in our own space, The food was good and the service was too! Unfortunately the property isn't licensed. That's the only hesitation I would have on returning."

"We arrived to check in around 8pm. There was only 1 person at the check in area who was handling everything from bag carrying to offering coconut to scouting for keys etc. So we had to wait abit. "Wreck of a resort. Avoid! Trapped 6 nights on a non cxable booking Feeling sorry for the nice friendly staff remaining on board. Terrible value for money at $50+ night. "We had a great stay at Pongwe Bay Resort! As soon as we arrived we felt taken care of and comfortable. We got to Zanzibar quite late but when we arrived we were welcomed with cool hand towels, our luggage was carried to our room for us, and our bed had beautiful hibiscus flowers laid on it. "Vi hade fantastiska dagar. Men! Det finns ingen strand och att bada i havet är inte ett alternativ. Så trots det exklusiva och härliga så saknade vi möjligheten till promenader och fysisk aktivitet. "Gorgeous quiet resort owned by Italian couple that has provided a retreat on the Zanzibar coast. Delicious food and great service. I was here with a friend after a business conference in Dar es Salaam and very happy I chose this place of quiet and refreshment. "

"Excellent location. We had money go missing from our room. Check in was very impersonal and after a full days travel we were required to line up again to fill out an pay the government tax, surly this can be done anytime during the stay. The person who took us to our room gave us no information about the place room wise or resort wise. They talk a good service ethic but as far as I was concerned service was non existent. Overpriced for the standard of the overall experience. To make the stay just a little worse my final memory was being ripped off on the journey back to the airport. I would not stay there again."

Strongly recommend!

"It is a 5-star feeling, with a feeling of space, mindful of this is Zanzibar and not Hilton in the Western world. You feel there is a strong western management teams that ensure all the little things that you appreciate with a personal touch and connection. Small-medium size resort placed a bit away (1 hour) from tourist centers like Zanzibar city and North main beaches. Yes, the beach is not good, but there is a great one 5 min away connected with the hotel. But you get a feel of space and especially Vladislava and Adella have made the perfect setting for one of the best experiences. You get a feeling of new and clean rooms and a great little resort, amazing restaurant, fantastic pool area and special evening events. Very relaxing feeling all the way - the opposite of Zanzibar Stone Town and North coast. Good value for money compared to other hotels we have seen. You want to top-up for all-inclusive for the days you are not out of the hotel. 80$ and 50$ (non-alco) pp. Not cheap, but worth it. Yes, we strongly recommend this resort/hotel. We were here as a family of 5 in two rooms."
