"A nice little room for an overnight stay while on the way to Scotland, with an excellent breakfast included in the price. The rooms could do with a bit of decor, though, and the beds could be a little more comfortable."

"Upon arrival to Berwick we had a difficulty in finding the hostel and had to ring for the directions unfortunately. The food was very good but the service rather slow. We weren't in any hurry but 30-40 minutes to produce breakfast after ordering seemed a bit excessive. "The property is a beautiful historic home with fun trap doors and hiding places from the original owner's tea smuggling days. It has a wonderful open living and dining area with an expansive view of the town of Eyemouth. We had easy access to restaurants in town (we watched the fresh fish delivered daily), scenic hiking trails and the golf course on the hill behind the house. We also spent a day surfing in Coldingham Bay only a stone's through away. The first floor of the property is often used...

"Stayed a couple of nights for our anniversary and had the most amazing time! This cottage is exceptional.. perfectly situated near beach, shops pubs etc, plenty parking options on a nice quiet street. Inside is really well decorated and has everything you could want or need in a home away from home. Comfy bed, cosy sofa and a hot shower. Would highly recommend the cottage and will definitely return. "
