The main drawback with this resort is it's not a good place during rainy season as it's on the bank of estuary. "A hotel with a nice view. Run a little like a homestay with a friendly host with 3 dogs. Main issue, and I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, is that there is a steep climb up the driveway. Taxis will not get up it ! The hotel provides a tuk-tuk shuttle to get bags etc as well as a courtesy lift whenever you press the bell (up to 9pm). Not a place to stay if you have bad knees. I did think the hotel was pricey for what we got. Pool is simple but we loved it . Food was lovely too. However....

"This hotel is one of a kind, the staff is incredible, the views out of this world! The room was honestly my favourite of any place I’ve stayed in all my travels. Clearly next level design and architecture in a very subtle and tasteful way. The spa treatment was wonderful and the cooking class under the banyan tree was magical. "The location is awesome. The rooms are well designed and at a high quality standard (e.g. marble tiles in the bathroom. Bidet..) Bungalow with sea view - unbeatable. The location is not directly at the beach, but at an elevated location inside a forest area. So the view is incredible and super quiet. No street noise or smoke.
