"I highly recommend this hotel Mercure in Quito! Everyone was so friendly ,hotel restaurant and bakery was top notch! We felt very secured in hotel and around area. The only thing that was a minus for us was that our toddler couldn’t use the pool it doesn’t specify the age on site. The manager was very helpful and instead upgraded us to a bigger place!!!"

"Such a beautiful place to stay. We couldn't have asked for better service. Two mornings we had to leave very early and a breakfast was provided for us. We needed some specific transporation and we had it. We wanted a few unique tours and we got them. We needed a room change (due to aging knees), and we got it. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to also just hang out and play cards and relax inbetween our adventures."

The staff pampered my family and introduced us to Ecuadorian new year traditions on the rooftop terrace with the other guests that was a memorable and unexpected way to ring in the new year. The restaurant is a fabulous showcase of Ecuadorian cuisine and excellent cocktails and fine wine. First class in every respect. I recommend without reservation."

"Beautiful well kept historic building with truly stunning views from the room, the restaurant and roof top bar. Very attentive quality staff. Every amenity including hot tub and steam room. The hotel feels safe and secure. Not a place you’d walk to or from though. Ubers are only $2 to $4 to local spots. $27 to airport. "

"Excellent hotel. Staff is tremendously helpful - helped counsel us on things to do and transportation and were actively looking out for us. The rooms were wonderful for our family. The interior courtyard was inviting and the rooftop restaurant was delicious. All staff were so warm and welcoming and Dennis in particular was wonderful when we ate at the restaurant. Lunch was delicious - breakfast is fine but not as differentiating as the rest of the experience. We could hear a woman’s choir...

"We had the best stay at this hotel. The hotel is lovely and the owner provides incredible service. We stayed with our 4 children for 2 nights after visiting the Galapagos. We are vegetarians and were provided with wonderful Ecuadorian breakfasts each morning that met our dietary needs. We explored the city on our own one day and saw so much. "Very pretty hotel, walking distance to all the Centro Historico area and basilica. Nice roof top views. Staff was very friendly and helpful including a tour to Cotopaxi which was Excellent. Never ate there, but available. Bed was a little stiff. Stairs to bathroom were a little narrow and could be tricky at night. Street noise a little loud. Arranged a transfer from airport on arrival and confirmed days before, was not present on arrival so I grabbed a taxi."
