"I chose this hotel because it looked like the closest from Matsuyama Station. It was about a 10-minute walk but if you have big luggage or if the weather doesn't cooperate I would recommend taking a taxi. There is a tapas-type restaurant attached to the hotel and the dinner service was all-you-can-eat for one price (you simply order what you like), within 120 minutes. "Very nice traditional Japanese hotel within 5 minutes walking distance from the Tourist Information Center if you took the public bus. I stayed in a Japanese style room with ocean view and slept on futon laid on tatami. Dinner and breakfast were included in the room rate, and the food was pretty good (kind of in fine-dining style). They have shuttle bus service from and to Fukuyama Station so be sure to take advantage of it. The welcome drink that they serve when you check in was nice."

"This hotel must have once been a grand establishment, but unfortunately the years have not been too kind to it. Many parts of the hotel are showing their age, and the place now feels too large and empty for the amount of business it sustains. We do want to give credit to the hotel staff for their kind service, and the rooms are really spacious even by Western standards.
