"Found it very hard to find parking near the hotel. Initial check in was very confusing as to what floors to go to for meals and access to shopping centre. A map of the city would have been great. Particularly finding the ferry terminal for transferring to the South Island. "

"The room was nice and bed comfortable. It was fully appointed. Location was walkable but not well situated. Parking was a pain. Inadequate at the hotel and required surveillance on the street to feed meter. Constant parking costs were expensive. The streets are busy and narrow "

"I chose to pay a premium to stay here because of the pool and hot tub, but sadly the pool area was a bit gross - grubby, slightly murky water and the hot tub was "temporarily" out of action for repair, but looked like it had been in that state for a while with a missing tile and filthy inside. I only swam once in a 2 night stay where i normally would swim twice a day. The room was good, bed was a bit hot due to the latex mattress. Shower was just OK. Great location but not worth the extra 30%...

"What a find. Very difficult to find good value accommodation in Wellington at the best of times but this was a real gem. The room I chose was a smaller option but very well appointed. I was travelling solo for work but I would consider staying for leisure as well. Walking distance to great bars, cafes and restaurants. Great service from the front desk as well."

"This is the second time we have stayed here. We really like this hotel - it's really centrally located, quiet and comfortable. We were a little bit sad that breakfast is no longer available as part of the stay, but there are plenty of great options around the hotel. Will definitely stay here again when we're in Wellington again."

"Our stay at the Hilton was good. Rooms were spacious and staff helpful. It was a little bizarre, though, that the Hotel couldn’t match a third party rate. I had to sit in the lobby, make the booking in Expedia and then they could check me in. Overall a pleasant stay"
