"For the price I paid I wasn't expecting the world, but I've stayed in similar hotels for lower prices and generally had much better experiences. The room was very dusty and stuffy even with the fan on & window open, and the surroundings noisy due to the location of the room with various deliveries early in the morning. "Disappointed that had to pay additional fee for parking. However it's not made very clear when booking through Expedia. I only realized when contacted by hotel the day before arrival. Shower bathroom very cramped. Toilet roll rack very poorly located. Difficult to reach once using facility. On the plus side: Toiletries, towels and contents of room tray goodies very good. Bed was comfortable. Enjoyed our food in the evening in the bar/restaurant. So overall ok."

"Beautiful old building sympathetically converted to a hotel. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The location makes the Angel a perfect stop for a short visit. The added bonus of Bills restaurant in the hotel is ideal. And a very good breakfast. The only negative is the street noise. Businesses in the side lane setting up tables and chairs made a very noises wake up call very early in a morning. Not the best when on a weekend break and wanting to wake up a little later than normal. Over all...
