"We had a short break in Winchester and the hotel was perfectly placed for us. A short walk to the City centre. Very helpful staff."

"Clean room. It was adapted for disability which is fine but the bed was quite soft. The room (201) was apparently above the gym and is not sound proof so music and weights shifting could be heard until late and then early in the morning."

"Beds were comfortable and the room was well furnished, clean and pleasant. It would have been nice to have decaffeinated tea bags available, as my partner doesn't drink caffeine. But the big disappointment is having to pay for car parking even overnight. We noted that many car parks in Winchester were free on Sundays. I did know about this prior to booking. Also taking a £50 deposit showed a lack of trust in customers. I think the car parking charges are unpopular with the hotel's customers."

"Lovely night stay, hotel very quiet which was great. The pool was fabulous, the room was lovely, we did half board and again the food was lovely. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would I stay again….definitely "
