"Good discount on normal 1 night price made this hotel stay unmissable. Literally across the road from Buxton Opera house. However, our double bed was 2 singles joined together and my mattress was hard, like sleeping on a table top or floor. I wasnt allowed to book breakfast at time of room booking (£24 for 2) so we walked down to Wetherspoons (10 mins) and had it for £12 for 2 with unlimited Lavazza coffee. "

"Overall very nice, bed was comfortable and room was quiet facing pool. Just a couple things letting it down, windows were full of hand prints, and black mould in shower area. Did let the management know about mould so hopefully will be dealt with for future guests. Overall we would stay here again. "

The welcome is lovely, the room was excellent and fairly large compared to say the chain hotels, everything you could wish for provided - kettle, water etc….Food is really good and very large portions so beware you need to be hungry especially at breakfast and not just the “Full breakfast”.
