"We had a great stay over New Year’s Eve. The staff were welcoming and the rooms were excellent. The spa facilities were on the small side and lacked a decent space to sit, but we still very much enjoyed them. The only let down, as others have said in reviews, is the food. It felt basic in comparison to the rest of the facilities and service received elsewhere."

In making them affordable for the mass market compromises have to be made and with the Palace Hotel this shows in some of the areas of decor.
