"No-one was on the check-in desk when we arrived and we had to go and fetch someoe from the bar to check us in. The breakfast service was slow. Otherwise, the hotel was lovely, well decorated and clean, comfy bed and brilliant location "

"Friendly and welcoming staff. The air in the room was very poor. CO2 levels on 1800-2200 if we didn't open the window. The ventilation just circulated the air. Had to sleep with the window open to get the co2 down and made the room cold and damp due to the February weather. "

"The room was great value for money! Staff at the pub were nice and welcoming, as was the food. Housekeeping staff need to ensure there is handwash in the bathroom, we had to use our own. The skirting board by the bed had drink spilt all over it- not sure how long it had been there before. This did not effect our stay though but effects the rating given."

"Lovely hotel The annexe area is very tired and the bathrooms need updating. The spa was ok but could benefit from an upgrade and maybe some soft relaxing music in the treatment rooms. The staff were ok. No one ‘went the extra mile’ let’s say. Staff need to be more customer focused at times felt like they were putting themselves out to accommodate us when it should be that nothing was too much trouble especially in the spa. This didn’t spoil our stay though. "

"Amazing hotel, location and customer service. The staff were polite and friendly. Our room and bathroom was larger and clean. Diner and breakfast was very good. Totally recommend this hotel. Look forward to returning"
