"The hotel room was clean itself but looked on one of the lampshades there was some very unpleasant stains on it to say the least. The beds was very comfy along with the pillows and place felt clean overall. Also maybe a few less scratches on the wall, could maybe do with a lick of paint. Also there was a music event on till 1am and they gave us 1 extra hour on checkout which wasn’t really needed. "

"Overall the stay was comfortable and fairly priced. The grade 2 listed is of great standing and looks. While you walk around this Tudor house and grounds feeling you’re brushing with the past. The down side to our weekend here, was being woken up at 11.30ish with the sound of the bar emptying its bottles in the collection bin and the same thing Sunday morning at 7.30. "Fabulous room, we had a suite in the old part of the hotel. There was a separate sitting room, large bedroom with superking four poster. The bathroom was beautiful and very well designed. The room was warm and comfortable. The hotel is situated in central Guildford and it is easy to walk to most venues in the town. The only downside is that the hotel has no parking and although you can park on the street in the evening there is no access during the day for unloading/loading luggage."
