"Lovely design throughout featuring lots of wood. The breakfast menu isn't designed for long stays (dishes repeat) but it's delicious and served efficiently in a nice environment. The bath is nice, though it did get a little busy at times."

"200 metres from the train station. Staff went out of there way to help us. Found us a local restuarant for one of our party that wanted to sample one of the local specialities. That also help arrange a taxi to meet us at a remote train station to take us to the Fukui prefecture dinosaur museum."

"A beautiful hotel/room and the public bath is excellent. It’s a bit far from the tourist areas but there are free shuttles from the hotel. "

"Excellent location and value! Right next to the castle and Kenroku-en, the hotel couldn't be better situated for seeing the sights of Kanazawa. Really unique style and rooms. We booked a junior suite, which due to the layout with the divider in the middle wasn't as spacious or practical as we were expecting, but for the value we got it for, no complaints at all (we're only two people, so in future would probably not have booked a junior suite again). For a one or two night stay to see the sights...

"The room is traditional with comfortable bed and sofa . The view is good and hotspring is excellent . I strongly recommend for anyone enjoy Japan hot spring should be in there ! "

"It was very close to the castle park and had a number of options for dining nearby, though we walked a bit further out to go to some specific places. The breakfast was in the building next door one of the days with a great view of the whole city. That hotel seemed a bit more luxury, but the room in ours was comfortable and spacious, so no complaints. "

"We had Suite Room B and it was very spacious and well maintained. Rurikoh had many good services (free shuttle to/from Kagaonsen train station, spa w/massages, outdoor foot onsen, taiko drum performance, free afternoon snacks), a beautiful outdoor onsen and large indoor one, very good traditional Japanese breakfast, and very welcoming staff. A short walk (approx 8 min) to several grocery stores and restaurants."

"Staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. Our room was comfy and the private onsen was a dream. Food was amazing-lots of local ingredients, which was great to try. I have seen some complaints about it not being super new, but I feel that's part of the charm of this place. Highly recommend! "
