"Hotel does need a little update to make it feel Grand again, but all in all, the staff make this hotel and without them it would seriously score low in most surveys. Well done Front of House, always a warm friendly welcome. Bar staff, you’re all amazing, Breakfast crew, nothings a problem. Take my hat off to the speed and efficiency you look after the masses."

"It was a special treat for my 40th, arrived to a beautiful room and chocolate covered strawberries. Lots of space for a family of 4 and a dog. Beautiful room and added extra of the hot tub. Great coffee, breakfast in the room, comfy beds, all we needed in the room. Only couple of niggles and would've put us off going again but the bathroom smelt and muddy area out past the decking. But excellent stay and will definitely return. "

"Lovely room in a lovely hotel. We were there for a wedding at Doxford Hall which was only 5 minutes by car. Quiet location, lovely to hear the birds in the morning. Nice touch having the teepee on site for the football. "

"This was a last minute change of plan, the hotel is excellent. Parking for about 3-4 cars round the back, we were in an x-trail and there was a Disco Sport there but I think anything bigger might be a struggle. Room was spotless, not much space for clothes if you were there for a while. Staff were excellent, breakfast very good and the location is great. About 5 minutes walk to the beach"

"Delightful accommodation.We went in the grange with two dogs and we had plenty of space in our room with a super size bed and a separate bathroom. Lots of parking, plenty of space to walk dogs. Breakfast was first class. We had superb Eggs Benedict, but also had salami, cheese, croissants and pain au chocolate. There was also cereals, fruit, yogurts etc in offer. Location is great for all major towns and smaller places, like Rothbury."

"A lovely friendly and welcoming place. Our room had a great fresh and clean smell as we entered and when I requested extra little milk cartons I was asked if I preferred fresh milk - oh yes. The beds were very comfy. Just what we needed. A table was reserved for our evening meal and it didn't disappoint. I hadn't expected the possibility of a roast Sunday dinner on the evening, and it was amazing, delicious and I didn't leave a scrap. My hubby was just as thrilled with his steak and ale pie....

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. There were lots of little extra touches from tea and cake when we arrived to glasses of sherry in our room. They had thought of everything and it was an easy walk to everything we wanted to visit in Alnwick. We'd highly recommend a stay here."
