"Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. "

"I booked this hotel as a treat for my mother and father. I just spoke to my Dad. He said the hotel was great. Very accessible, nice room, easy check-in, and only a short walk into town. On top of that, he said the breakfast was the BEST hotel breakfast he has ever had. I'll definitely be booking again... but next time it's for ME!"

"Have stayed before so knew what to expect. The owners are very easy to get on with plus very polite and friendly. Best part of the stay is the English breakfast which is superb all of the trimmings. The breakfast is worth 5 stars alone."

"Lovely and quirky. We really enjoyed it. Ideal romantic getaway for a weekend. The private shower rooms/ toilet although dedicated to each hut are a very short walk away. Disappointed that the hot tub had to be reserved, but understandable in the present climate! Breakfast is simple…. Cook your own waffles and pancakes!!!! Would have been better to have cereals and toast with some jam and marmalade!!"
