"Right on the beach. About a 100 yards from a sheltered cove where there is great snorkeling. There are reefs off the beach that are also good for snorkeling. Would have been very helpful if the villa had a washer and dryer. The bathrooms really need ventilation fans. The floor in the basement bathroom was always damp."

"Great location and rooms...I guess being there during the new year is not recommended. The hotel was busy with the extended family of the owner ...it felt like in a kids play ground or public park."

"Although it was just off of the water we were steps from the beach. Property is beautiful. 2/2 condos with full kitchens and large balconies. On property pool was fantastic with a swim up bar. Highly recommend!!"

"If peace and serenity are what you are looking for, Barefoot Cay Resort is ideal. As a boutique resort with a limited number of accommodations you can easily avoid the crowds. Although there were a few other guests, my wife and I felt like we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed sitting on the beach and snorkeling off the pavilion with no distractions. Relaxing on the pavilion, feeling the breeze and listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks after snorkeling was so...

"We just returned from two weeks in Roatan. Our second week was spent at Casa Cowee in the casita and it was wonderful. The Casa Cowee property is beautiful and Suzanne has been successful in making improvements to the property while keeping it true to island styles. Jose and Paul do an excellent job of keeping the property well maintained and are always available to provide assistance. The property managers Channin and Kimberly were very attentive even though we didn’t need to use their services...

"First, the house manager Carolina was so nice and helpful and responded quickly. I asked for a favor upon arrival and check out to make my trip less stressful and she accommodated my request perfectly. The house is beautiful. It looks just like the pictures. The pool is wonderful, a little cold but it wasn't super hot at this time, the view is beyond amazing. This place is perfect… Almost...just so you're aware the drive up the hill/road to get to the house is not paved so if there's any rain...

"Overall, the staff was very pleasant and courteous. I had an enjoyable experience. The property is gorgeous. However, upon arriving, the evening supervisor, named Patricia, was very sarcastic, indifferent, and rude. She was unwilling to make accommodations for my group, which consisted of my cousin, my one-year old son, and me. She blamed Expedia for the miscommunication and did not try to fix the problem. When looking for a resort in Roatan, I specifically looked for a family-friendly resort....

"Definitely a step above for the area. You can tell they focus on service and above average food and amenities. I liked the location a lot and having the beach/bay right there as well as dive shop next door was very convenient. One thing that was frustrating was there were no hooks to be found in the room! Not even the bathroom. This makes finding places to hang towels and other items (especially w family of 4) frustrating. Also minimal to no storage and only one luggage rack. Had to live “out of suitcase” all week. For such an upscale property this is a notable and poorly managed portion of a guest’s stay. Regardless I would stay there again for all of the other reasons. Kudos to the entire team for their devotion and hospitality! "
