The hotel is like it has been plucked out of a poirot movie, grand staircases, Chesterfield sofas, big wingback chairs, beautiful, right up my street. Hotel was in excellent order and well located. Car park next door was handy as £20 a day to park at your hotel is steep. Also paying £25 for a dog each day needs to be taken into account. "

"We had a lovely view towards Torquay theatre & harbour from our room. Breakfast was buffet style with hot & cold options. We ate in the Brasserie/Compass Bar area for our evening meals. "I enjoyed my brief stay at St Mellion’s. The staff were welcoming and the hotel was clean and tastefully decorated for the festive period. The bed was huge and the bathroom had plenty of towels and handwash/shower gel etc. Although there weren’t many gluten free options on the restaurant menu, the staff were helpful and made me a GF steak and chips which was perfectly cooked. The cooked breakfast was all GF and a very generous portion. I would definitely stay again. "
