"We stayed here for two nights and wished it was longer. The farm is so peaceful and beautiful, in a wonderful location in the forest. The cabin was clean and comfortable with an amazing view over the hills. One evening we bought food from the shop on site and had a bbq and the other we ordered dinner, which was brought to our cabin for us. The food was delicious and they also bring breakfast each morning. Before we left we had a tour of the farm which was really interesting and I also took time...

"We stayed there for our 10-year anniversary. Nice view. However, we paid an expensive nightly rate for a half board. The main restaurant is supposed to be opened until 10pm. We arrived at 8pm for our reservation. Not even 15min after our arrival, the staff clearly started to do everything possible to make us understand we ought to be leaving asap. The Seven Coloured Earths are a geological formation and prominent tourist attraction found in the Chamarel plain of the Rivière Noire District in south-western Mauritius. It is a relatively small area of sand dunes comprising sand of seven distinct colours (approximately red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow). The main feature of the place is that since these differently coloured sands spontaneously settle in different layers, dunes acquire a surrealistic, striped colouring. Since the earth was first exposed, rains have carved beautiful patterns into the hillside, creating an effect of earthen meringue
