Appreciated concierge setting up wine tastings and dinner reservations. They have some discounts arranged at some partner wineries. "

"We came for a long weekend of wine tasting and bike riding and this hotel was the perfect location! Right on the square and within walking distance to all the restaurants and stores. The hotel is beautifully decorated with natural colors and lots of windows. Wine tasting every night in the lobby. Valet car service was included, not extra charge. Overall, a wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back. "

"We stayed in a vineyard view fireplace room and it was very spacious and well-appointed. Lovely property and good for walking. Only negatives were it's a not close to any restaurant and the hotel's restaurant, John Ash , had poor food at high prices. A shame because the restaurant is beautiful and service was good but the food just wasn't good. "

"The place is pretty nice. It just felt that its managed by non professionals. We had to climb stairs to get to our room - it wasn't terrible but I wish we were told about this beforehand. The property is pretty nice, secluded, loved the firepit and the creek. I wish they lowered the meditation music a little bit so that we could enjoy the nature. What seemed a bit unprofessional is that at checkout we got a call right at 11 am (checkout time) claiming that they wana see if we already checked...

"The Stavrand is an exceptional property; right away it is noticeable how the staff cares about their patrons. They go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is an easy drive to any winery and walkable to downtown Guerneville for food and drink; be sure to hit up the local bank turned into an ice cream shop! "
