"Good comfortable stay Maybe needs some attention to detail. Bathroom window clearly damp and badly marked/ dirty. Needed cleaned.No hand soap to wash hands in bathroom.Had a room with 2 double beds but only 1 hot chocolate.Excellent breakfast but had to make on toast as informed chef was busy ! and missing promised portion of beans in full English.Also repair work to roof just outside our room which started before 9am. Bit noisy. "

The stairwell ran diagonally above the bed so every time someone walked up the stairs it boomed through just above your head. Hidden charges for using the gym. Main reception in a different building. "If there's a b & b anywhere where the hosts are more attentlve, i've yet to visit it. A real gem of a place, spotlessly clean, great breakfast and a 5 minute walk to the town centre make this a great place to come. We have been twice now and there is sure to be a third when we revisit Dumfries."
