"We arrived early and the very friendly receptionist allowed us to check in. Our room was on level 5 facing the harbor, it was interesting watching the ships enter Newcastle Port. There is car parking under the building with an overflow outdoor section. Our only issue was a very small room fridge without a freezer. The bar staff gave us ice when we asked for it. All of the hotel staff were polite and professional. "

"Really nice, new clean property. Great for business travel, library and bar are easily accessible with a fully equipped gym. Plenty of parking and decent cafe out front. Well priced compared to some of the other options in the area. Room is well appointed, large comfortable bed. Small-ish table in the room, not suitable for working, but okay for leisure only (coffee/tea, iPad usage). Great shower and bathroom and the black-out blinds are fantastic if jet lag is an issue. Quietish part of town, a little bit of a dead zone, but a short walk or tram ride to all amenities. The bar in the hotel made up for adequately, and the cafe offers a solid range of beverages and meals, breakfast and lunch."

"Given that it was pouring rain & very windy for three-quarters of the time we stayed, the staff did very well to keep the hotel running as smoothly as they did. Thank to the cleaners & all the staff."

The thing that makes this place is the staff, every single staff member I spoke to was helpful and friendly even going above what one would reasonably expect. "Stayed 3 night's @ ocean front 2nd level room with kingbed and balcony. Woke up and went to bed with Gorgeous views of the ocean and was very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to everything. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will definitely stay here everytime we are down here for another quick getaway. "
