"Great stay room warm and clean breakfast tasty and good choice. One slight criticism at 230 pm go to check in and told your room is ready but will have to pay ten pound early check inn fee challenged this and then told well if you join Holliday inn rewards I could check into my room which was ready for no fee obviously reception have been instructed to implement this 10 pound charge but why get somebody’s back up when checking in for the sake of ten pound poor."

"Lovely greeting and free upgrade. Room was clean, spacious with nice free drinks in mini bar. Lovely local Ringtons tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits. Fab decor and tasty breakfast in the most beautiful breakfast room ever."

"The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. Room was a bit on the cold side better than too warm. Breakfast was okay but I’ve had better. Location is good easy access to town centre if your catching a train you need to allow 30 mins from checking out of the hotel to been on the platform which is a leisurely walk for an able bodied person. It’s a 10 minute walk to local auction. Staff were helpful without been over the top."

"We chose a bad day to go, there was a Christmas fare on in a marquee in the grounds and the place was packed out with every available member of staff busy in the restaurant, so there was no one mannig the reception, so, we did as the notice on the door said and asked a member of staff to check us in, and although she was rushed of her feet she got us checked in along with another couple who had also arrived. That was the only delay we had during our two night stay. The room (Sage) was warm,...
