"Beautiful hotel in a great location. 3 minute walk from Bern train station. Conveniently located to many great restaurants and shopping. Horel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable."

"Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice to have a sofa so you don’t have to sit on the bed. Great bathroom with first rate shower. Location is excellent, easily walkable to downtown and city park. Many restaurants within walking distance. "

"Nice, clean hotel right on the river. We arrived late and left early so didn’t experience much of the town, but we walked to a restaurant and it did seem like it would be a very nice place to stay. Mixed reviews on the pillows from my group. If you like soft, down pillows, you’ll have the best sleep of your life. If you need some substance to support your neck, you’re going to have a problem here. "

"Had a great time with friends and children at this hotel. The pool and kids rooms are great. The breakfast was good but would have loved more home made or local options. We had booked a comfort appartement which was the good size for a family of 4. However, in the bedroom, we had 2 separate twin beds for adults (in each corner of the room), which I found a bit odd. Apart from that, the view was stunning! "

"Stayed two nights with family. Everything was clean and we had tea coffee in the room. The only strange thing was that the toilet was separate to the shower and sink so you had to go to the toilet then come out and wash your hands in the shower room. I don't know how this arrangement would suit anyone, are they expecting people not to wash their hands after using the toilet? Didn't expect this from novotel but otherwise we had an amazing stay. "We were welcomed and checked in warmly by reception. We had also pre-registered online by the welcome email from Hotel Baren. Their staff went the extra mile to provide extra latex pillow and fixed the safe locking error when requested. We booked the Comfort room which faces the back of the surrounding buildings but we figured the view is likely to be due to the different sizes of the room. We also like proximity to church , train stations , restaurant Taverne in site serving delicious menus with great presentations . "What a beautiful place to stay!! Right on the beautiful lake and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town. Also 5 minutes from Interlaken West which you walk along a quiet road to get to the hotel - very nice since the town itself can be busy. Best time to go is for New Year’s as they have a huge festival the 1st and a parade the 2nd. 5 minutes from a very cute cafe called Velo, and very close to the Victoria hotel. Reception was fabulous. Gave you a free drink voucher to the restaurant next door (not sure if just for New Year’s). Also gave a transportation card if wanted but we walked everywhere. Then offered a bottle of water upon check out for our travels. Overall great location and place to stay! "
