"This was my first time at the Ruby Emma, and it definitely won't be my last. I managed to lose my phone, but the staff were very sympathetic and did everything they could to help. Thankfully, the phone was returned to the reception shortly afterwards. We quickly forgot about the incident when we arrived in our room. The location was amazing, and both my fiancée and I were seriously impressed by everything."

"Good property for a solo woman traveler. I like going to a hotel where I can use a shuttle and not have to schlep my luggage on and off trains to get somewhere. Much less hassle and you can ride the shuttle to the airport and take the train to Amsterdam Central station and go anywhere. Room was very comfortable and quiet and I could open the windows to cool it down. Good breakfast and gym. Worked for me. "

"Top notch in all areas of a stay in Amsterdam. Had a corner room with glass on both walls. Just a great feel and elegance to stay. Would have given 6 stars if an option. Can walk to Musueum district. Loads of bike paths. Breakfast buffet quality is a whole new level. Like being between airport and city center. "

"Pretty good hotel. Coffee machine and kettle is life saver for an early coffee. A good convenience store is nearby for shopping. Few minutes walk to a tram stop to take you to the centre of Amsterdam. The ice machine in the hallway is pretty good to ice up your drink "

"I have mixed opinions about this hotel. On one end, the staff members are very helpful and friendly. The design is modern and the room is clean. The beds and beddings are comfortable. Location-wise, the hotel is not close to the tourist attractions of the city, but it’s right by a metro station that can take you in town, and the trains schedule is frequent. On the other end, the building itself is interesting in the sense that you can hear the sounds from the pipes and your neighbors...

Unfortunately I fell ill while on holiday and they were kind enough to allow me to stay in the room a little later to rest up before the journey home.
